My name is Shirley Block. I currently reside in Gresham with my husband Eb. (pictured below)

I have been honored and humbled to serve as your President for the past 6 years. I am deeply passionate in the labor movement and have been for over 30 years.

​

Working my way up the ranks at TriMet has not only been a learning experience but a way to help others in the union as well.

Before TriMet I was a part of The Nurses Association in Michigan and in Oregon where I quickly understood what stronger together really meant.

After graduation, I moved to Oregon. I got my duck feet wet in 1975. Worked as a nurse, came to work for TriMet and decided to make a career out of it.

​

I have served ATU757 as a shop steward, (12 years) as an Executive Board Officer, (6 years) and as your President. (6 years)​
